GHOST HUNT | 29TH MARCH

Dare to explore the haunted history of Gwrych Castle on one of our Guided Ghost Hunts. With a reputation for ghostly encounters and unexplained phenomena, the castle has long been a hotspot for paranormal activity.

Visitors and staff alike have reported chilling experiences—from the spectral figure of a lady in red shouting, “Get out!” to shadowy faces appearing in the windows and eerie footsteps echoing along the marble staircase.

MOTHERING SUNDAY AT TAN-YR-OGO LODGE | 30TH MARCH

Treat your Mum to delicious Cream Tea at Gwrych Castle’s gate lodge on Mothering Sunday. Cream Tea will be served by our host in the Dining Room at the truly impressive and private Tan-yr-Ogo Lodge. You will also have tickets to explore Gwrych Castle to make the day extra special!

Cream Tea at Tan-yr-Ogo Lodge and Admission to Gwrych Castle – £25.00 per person (£15 for under 16s):

  • Pot of Welsh tea
  • Fruit scone, strawberry preserve, clotted cream

APRIL

EASTER DRAGON EGG HUNT | 12TH – 21ST April

Looking for an unforgettable family day out in North Wales? Join us at Gwrych Castle for an exciting Dragon Egg Hunt from 12th – 21st April!

Dewi, our beloved castle dragon, has escaped, leaving her magical eggs hidden throughout the grounds. We need young adventurers to take on the Dragon Quest, solving puzzles and challenges to help bring Dewi home. Along the way, you’ll meet medieval castle residents who need your help before it’s too late!

What’s Included in the Dragon Egg Hunt?

• Meet medieval characters who will guide you on your quest

• Solve fun puzzles, riddles, and challenges to find the dragon’s eggs

• Collect your chocolate treat as a reward for completing the quest

• Get creative in the Dragon’s Lair—design your own dragon or castle

• Take home a Dragon Keeper’s Manual full of fun facts and activities

• Explore the historic castle and gardens with access to the full visitor route

• Fancy dress bonus – wear a costume and earn chocolate gold coins

Who Can Take Part?

The Dragon Egg Hunt is designed for families with children aged 1-15 years. Every paying child will receive a chocolate treat at the end of their quest.

The Artisan Market Company will be returning to Gwrych Castle on 4th May & 31st August due to popular demand! They’re bringing over 60 stalls, live music, hot food and a cocktail bar. It’s set to be a great day out.

Alongside the market, you will have access to our scenic visitor route where you can explore our beautiful formal gardens, take in the scenic views from many advantage points, and see the set locations used during I’m A Celebrity in 2020 and 2021.

JUNE

Antiques Day with Paul Martin | 5th June

Join us on Thursday 5th June for a fascinating day of antiques, heritage crafts, and valuations with Paul Martin, TV presenter of Flog It!

Paul will give a talk on art, antiques, and the importance of heritage craft skills, as well as sharing stories from his life in television, followed by a Q&A session.

Bring along your cherished objects and antiques for valuation and appraisal, and gain expert insight into the world of antiques and heritage craftsmanship.

Paul will also be signing copies of his book, My World of Antiques, where he reveals untold stories of remarkable artefact finds and shares the secrets to success in the antiques trade.

The day also includes a talk from our expert project team on the ongoing restoration of the castle, its rich history, and the efforts behind its rescue and conservation. Tickets include a self-guided tour along our scenic visitor route.
